Biography

Assoc Professor Janine Trevillyan is the Head of Clinical Virology and HIV services and Deputy Director of Infectious Diseases and Immunology at Austin Health, Melbourne. She is also a researcher within the University of Melbourne at the Peter Doherty Institute of Infection and Immunity. She is an active member of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG). As an infectious diseases physician and clinical researcher her work focuses on understanding and preventing the long-term complications of HIV, particularly reducing cardiovascular risk and metabolic dysfunction.

Mao is from Colombia, has worked with QPP for four years as an HIV and STI test facilitator and, for the past two years, as a Peer Navigator. He supports young people living with HIV, newcomers, and those from diverse backgrounds in Australia. Mao is part of PLAN and funds Queensland’s Young Social Group for PLHIV.
