Biography

Josh is a Project Officer at ASHM Health, supporting HIV s100 prescribers and education. He brings lived experience and community insight to his work, with a focus on inclusive approaches. Josh also convenes the Positive Asian Network Australia (PANA), advocating for culturally safe support for Asian men living with HIV.

Biography

Larissa ‘Riss’ Melanie is a multi-passionate creative artist, musician, project manager, HIV Advocate, and member of the National Association of People with HIV Australia’s (NAPWHA’s) National Network of Women Living with HIV. Riss draws upon her 30+ years lived and professional experiences, advocating for all people living with HIV (PLHIV). Riss works across the HIV sector contributing to multiple projects and is currently working with UNSW as a research assistant co-facilitating community focus groups around HIV stigma.

Biography

Brent is a non-binary, HIV-positive activist with over 30 years of experience in global community responses to HIV. They are a Senior Advisor to the Australasian Society of HIV Medicine (ASHM), the Industry Advisory Forum of the IAS and the National Association of People with HIV Australia (NAPWHA), and Director and Principal Consultant at Qthink Consulting. They are passionate about knowledge translation and have been the driving force behind HIV Science as Art and HIV Unwrapped. Their work focuses on co-designed policy, participatory research and empowering people living with HIV.

Biography

Steve Spencer is an award-winning bi+ and HIV advocate, researcher, and consultant based on Gadigal Land, Sydney, Australia, he is a proud ambassador of Qtopia Sydney and the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation. Steve serves as Vice President of Australia's national peak community HIV body, NAPWHA, and is a leading advisor, researcher, and university lecturer in bisexual health and HIV, working with The Kirby Institute, UNSW, and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Steve also co-hosts the popular podcast Give It To Me Bi and uses his social media platform to advocate for bi-visibility and action against HIV stigma with self-acceptance, community, courage, and empathy at the core of his community advocacy
