Molecular epidemiology of the HIV-1 epidemic in Fiji
Professor Geoghegan is a virologist specializing in the evolution of emerging infectious diseases, metagenomics, and viral host-jumping dynamics. She notably served as the senior and corresponding author for a 2024 study on the molecular epidemiology of the HIV-1 epidemic in Fiji, overseeing the scientific design and genomic analyses to guide public health interventions.
