Yasmin is a PhD candidate and clinical trial coordinator at the Kirby Institute. She coordinates the ‘Syphilaxis Study’, which evalutes the efficacy and acceptability of doxycycline as STI prophylaxis. Her PhD utilises data from a nationally representative survey to estimate the prevalence and knowledge of blood donation eligibility in Australia.

She is managing a Sexual Health Promotion clinic in HMU hospial where HIV Pre-exprosure Prophylaxis is provided free-of-charge for key population in Hanoi.

After years of clinical activities (infectious diseases, STIs, migration medicine) and a PhD in international cooperation, she is currently based in Madagascar where she conducts implementation research on neglected diseases and vaccinations (female genital schistosomiasis, HPV vaccination and covid-19).

Co-founder of We Are W/M, Kate advocates for women's rights and dismantling stigmas on women's health. A survivor turned advocate, she speaks on gender equality, sexual violence prevention, and the importance of sexuality education.
