Biography

Mark Butler has been a Labor Member in the Federal Parliament since 2007 and is the federal Minister for Health and Aged Care. Mark served as Minister for Ageing and Australia’s first Minister for Mental Health in the Gillard Government. He has also held the ministries of Housing, Homelessness, Social Inclusion, Climate Change, Water and the Environment. Before Mark was elected to parliament, he worked for some of the most disadvantaged people in the community as an official with United Voice for over 15 years, including 11 years as State Secretary.

Biography

Professor Adam Bourne is Director of the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society at La Trobe University. He leads a large program of research relating to the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQ+ communities, particularly as it relates to mental health and suicidality, alcohol and other drug use, and family violence. Adam is committed to the translation of knowledge into policy and practice, reflected in his position as Co-Chair of the Victorian Whole of Government LGBTIQA+ Taskforce and the Commonwealth LGBTIQA+ Health and Wellbeing 10-Year Action Plan Expert Advisory Group

Robyn Lambird

Biography

Robyn Lambird is a Perth based Paralympian, Content creator, Model and Disability advocate, who has just achieved a bronze medal at the JAPAN 2021 Paralympics-making them the first ever out non-binary Paralympics medallist. As a content creator with cerebral palsy, Robyn sets out to challenge society's negative perceptions of disabilities. Using their fashion content to promote inclusivity within the fashion industry, believing all bodies are worthy of representation. Robyn has featured on such platforms as the BBC, Teen Vogue, The Guardian, The West Australian, SBS, ABC radio, and Triple J. In 2015 Robyn was included in Triple J’s ‘25 Under 25’ awarded as one of the 25 remarkable individuals under the age of 25, for their work to promote disability equality and sporting achievements. They have also been ranked 3rd in the Sunday Times Magazines ‘Hot List’ in 2020. Robyn offers services in public speaking as a disability consultant, and as a mentor in overcoming adversity and increasing confidence. And is also a strong LGBTQI member/advocate, identifying as non-binary.
