Lindsey R. Riback, MPH is a Project Director whose research focuses on the intersection of Hepatitis C and HIV prevention, substance use disorder and criminal legal system involvement in New York and Kenya. Her work includes identifying treatment and prevention strategies that respect individual choice and circumstances.

Rebecca Gore is a barrister, writer, and academic in South Africa. As a legal researcher to Inspecting Judge, Justice Edwin Cameron, of the national oversight body, she visited and reported on conditions in prisons. She holds a Master of Laws from Harvard and co-authored a book titled Behind Prison Walls: Unlocking a Safer South Africa with Edwin Cameron. Rebecca has also written about how the law responds to women who kill their abusers, carceral period poverty, abortion access in prisons, and HIV/AIDS behind bars.

Dr. John May is an Internal Medicine physician practicing in jails and prisons for more than 30 years. He serves as Chief Medical Officer for Centurion Health in the USA, Board Member of the North American Chapter of the International Corrections and Prisons Association, and Chair of the International Committee of the American Correctional Association. Dedicated to equitable care for incarcerated people, he co-founded Health through Walls in 2005, an international NGO to assist prison health programs in low- and middle-income countries.
