Associate Professor Behzad Hajarizadeh is a clinical epidemiologist at the Kirby Institute, University of New South Wales, Australia. His research focuses on improving hepatitis surveillance, prevention, and clinical care among people in prison and people who inject drugs.

Lena Faust is an infectious disease epidemiologist interested in the carceral setting as a social/environmental determinant of health. Her postdoctoral work, focusing on prisons, has spanned tuberculosis (at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine) and more recently STBBIs (at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre).

Amour Castillo (she/her) is a PhD student in critical psychology studying relationships, and belonging. At The Fortune Society, she leads community based HIV and COVID initiatives with Einstein Montefiore partners and supervises Community Health Advocates, focusing on trust, access, and health engagement among people impacted by incarceration.

Medical Director at Zambia Correctional Service, providing leadership in correctional health systems and public health programming. He has supported the implementation of infectious disease prevention initiatives, including hepatitis B virus screening, vaccination, and management programmes, strengthening access to quality healthcare and improving health outcomes among justice-involved populations.
