Biography

Domen Kovač, MD, is a family physician at Community Health Centre Dr. Adolf Drolc Maribor, Slovenia. Since 2018, he has worked in prison healthcare, focusing on communicable disease prevention, screening and management. He has contributed to a prison healthcare program internationally recognised as an example of good practice.

Ricardo Fuertes is a PhD student in Public Health at the University of Pisa, specialising in prison health. His previous work has focused on harm reduction and community-based HIV testing among vulnerable populations. He has served as an advisor to the City of Lisbon and the Portuguese Ministry of Health.
