Danica Keric is the Alcohol Policy and Research Senior Coordinator at Cancer Council Western Australia. In this role she is responsible for building the case to governments for the introduction of effective, evidence-based alcohol policy at local, state and national levels.

Belinda’s research focuses on the socio-political systems and structures that drive health inequities. Her work is grounded in community engagement, and aims to produce translational outcomes that lead to real-world impacts. She partners with advocacy groups, independent media, NGOs, and government stakeholders to inform and influence health promoting policy agendas.

Gabriel Caluzzi is a research fellow who specialises in the social, cultural and institutional dimensions of drug and alcohol use, treatment systems, and policy responses. His research examines how drug and alcohol-related harms are shaped by broader social contexts and how they can be reduced through effective policy and practice.

Samatha Pararth Salim is a PhD researcher trained in AI and public health at CAPR. Her work focuses on using emergent AI models to quantify alcohol exposure in media and examine its impact on behaviour. She specialises in large-scale video analysis, systematic reviews, and evidence generation for policy.

Robin Room, a sociologist, previously directed alcohol and drug research centres in the U.S., Canada, Sweden and Australia. His main research interests are social and epidemiological studies of alcohol problems and policies, with an interest also in drugs and gambling. He is the former Editor-in-Chief of Drug and Alcohol Review.

Dr Sarah Clifford is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Drug Policy Modelling Program at UNSW. Sarah’s work focuses on the relationship between alcohol use and harms, and how policies can impact these outcomes. She has a background in health promotion.

Chloe McDonough is a Research Assistant at the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA), Flinders University, and holds a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology. Her work involves supporting the administration and implementation of multiple alcohol and other drug (AOD) research projects.

Dr Mia Miller is a Research Fellow at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC), UNSW Sydney. Her research program focuses on alcohol policy, alcohol epidemiology, and alcohol consumption and harms among young people.

Rowan Ogeil is the strategic lead of the National Addiction and Mental Health Surveillance Unit (NAMHSU) at Turning Point, and a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University
