Dr Yarbakhsh obtained her PhD from The Australian National University in 2017 and has published widely in social research, including anthropology and public health.

Jane Moreton has worked in the Victorian alcohol and other drug (AOD) sector for over 20 years, and at the Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association (VAADA) since 2013. Throughout her career Jane has worked in both clinical, and project management settings in the not-for-profit sector focusing on change and capacity building. She is a strong advocate for service systems to focus on improving outcomes for consumers, and for service users to actively participate in decision making processes.

Dan has over 15 years of leadership experience across a broad range of industries including banking, fast-moving-consumer-goods, and most recently, not-for-profits. As State Manager at Mates4Mates, Dan grew the family recovery centre and built an outreach model servicing veterans across the state. More recently, as Acting State Manager for the Alcohol & Drug Foundation, Dan built a strong reputation as an action-oriented leader and strategic thinker. Dan is now focused on supporting the ATDC in its mission to build the most resilient and effective ATOD sector and in helping deliver on the ATDC’s promise of “No Harm, No Discrimination”. Current passions include working to reduce stigma towards people who use drugs, men’s health, psychology, and neurodiversity.

Kyle Perry, BCouns(Coaching), CPO, has worked across many areas in the ATOD sector, from a counsellor leading individual and group therapy to running youth work & programs in schools and shelters, to senior case management of a men’s residential rehab, which included designing and implementing programs and projects adopted in an Australia-wide network. In 2021, he was awarded the Minister’s Award for Emerging Leader. Since 2020, Kyle has been at the forefront of designing, implementing and coordinating the ATDC’s fee-for-service consumer representative program, the Lived Experience Advocate Service, which has become a highly respected and heavily utilised service. Outside of his AOD work, Kyle is a critically acclaimed, bestselling novelist. His passions include prison reform and men’s health.

Lily Foster is a powerful advocate for feminism, women, and children's rights, with a passionate commitment to the abolition of drug-related prison sentences. As a dedicated advocate with personal experience, Lily collaborates closely with the ATDC (Alcohol and Other Drugs Council of Tasmania), using her own journey to champion drug law reform and alternative sentencing. She plays an active role in shaping Tasmania's Reform Agenda Project Control Group and holds a prestigious position on the Tasmanian Health Senate. Beyond her local impact, Lily's influence extends to international platforms, where she serves as an advisor for WHRIN (Women's Harm Reduction International Network). Lily holds an Associate Degree in Applied Health from UTAS, further solidifying her expertise in advocating for positive change.
