Biography

Oliver Birch is a PhD student at the University of Auckland. He is primarily concerned with opioid use; particularly, he considers how 'opioid dependence' is socially/politically constructed. His work uses Foucauldian analysis, and he is interested in Institutional Ethnograpy as a methodological tool.

Biography

Julie has worked in the field of Alcohol and other Drugs for over 33 years across multiple settings in New Zealand and Australia including residential, community, women’s services and with youth and families in Greater Western Sydney. She is presently Counselling Unit Manager at Kirketon Road Center in Kings Cross.

Biography

Molly is a midwife with 10-years experience working and volunteering in the United Kingdom, Tanzania and Nepal. She is interested in topics of substance use and supporting vulnerable women to access services. Molly is currently the Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service CMC in a Sydney public D&A clinic.
