Robin Room is a sociologist who has previously directed alcohol and drug research centres in four countries. His main research interests are social, cultural and epidemiological studies of alcohol, drugs and gambling behaviour and problems, social responses to the problems, and the effects of policy changes.

Julie Perrin is a clinical social worker with mental health accreditation specialising in drug and alcohol, couple and family therapy and bereavement. She has over 35 years experience in the health and community sector. Her PhD focused on sibling bereavement when death is drug-related, and it was a qualitative study.

Dr Jiang is a public health researcher at Department of Public Health and the Centre for Alcohol Policy Research (CAPR), La Trobe University. He conducts quantitative and economic analyses to model and estimate impacts of policy interventions on alcohol, tobacco and drug use, and related social and health issues.
