Biography

Michala Kowalski is a Scientia PhD candidate at UNSW Sydney’s Social Policy Research Centre. Michala joined the Drug Policy Modelling Program as a research officer in 2017 and is a member of the Global Cannabis Cultivation Research Consortium. Research interests include drug and alcohol policy, technological innovations, and harm reduction.

Rachel Visontay is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use at the University of Sydney. Her research aims to provide a greater understanding of alcohol–long-term health relationships by using a range of sophisticated methods that promote causal inference from observational data.

Dr Siobhan O'Dean is a postdoctoral researcher at The Matilda Centre, University of Sydney. She works across a range of projects including investigating the development of alcohol use disorders in young adults, and in statistical evaluation of multiple large scale school-based substance use prevention programs.
