For more than 15 years James has worked in policy and research roles within government, non-government organisations and universities in Australia, Scotland and Hong Kong, including with the Australian Injecting and Illicit Drug Users League and the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society. James has a long history of working in member-based organisations at the regional and national level, and has a passion for improving health and wellbeing outcomes for people who use drugs. James is a former board member of the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations and current Fellow at the Centre for Criminology at The University of Hong Kong.

Dr Amy Peacock is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW Sydney. She is Program Lead for Drug Trends, a national illicit drug monitoring system which has operated for over twenty years and is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.

Rebecca is the CEO of the Qld Network of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies (QNADA), the peak organisation for the non-government alcohol and other drug sector in Qld, providing support to over 55 organisational members operating in over 100 locations across the state.
Rebecca has been a member of the Australian National Advisory Council on Alcohol and other Drugs (ANACAD) since 2017. ANACAD is the principal expert advisory body to the Australian Government on issues relating to alcohol and other drugs.
Rebecca is also the Deputy Chair of the Australian Alcohol and other Drugs Council.

Dr Robert Stirling is CEO of Network of Alcohol and Other Drugs Agencies (NADA) the NSW NGO AOD peak body. He supports members in AOD and public health policy, planning and funding, sector and workforce development, as well as research and evaluation. Robert has worked in the AOD sector for almost 20 years, and holds qualifications in public health and community management. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer with the Drug Policy Modelling Program at UNSW.

Anke is a medical anthropologist with experience in public health research and evaluation, applying mixed methods to a range of ATOD issues. This has included working in Aboriginal Community-Controlled, academic, and non-government settings, engaging collaboratively with communities experiencing complex health and social disadvantages and marginalisation.

Dr. Rose Crossin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Population Health, at the University of Otago, Christchurch. Her research is focussed on understanding and preventing harms arising from alcohol and drug use, including the impacts of legislation and policy.

Dr Brendan Clifford is a Senior Research Fellow at the National Centre For Clinical Research in Emerging Drugs and a clinician researcher at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. He has a background in nursing, clinical research and health equity innovation and has PhD in health policy from the Menzies Centre for Health Policy & Economics at the University of Sydney.
