Biography

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland, my research investigates adolescent cannabis vaping trends and health impacts of cannabis use, aiming to inform evidence-based policy. I am also a mental health youth worker that supports young people with complex AOD/ mental health conditions on their recovery journey.

Biography

Dr. Michaela Pettie (she/her) of Ngāti Pūkenga, is takatāpui and living with disability. As a Kaupapa Māori health researcher, focused on the impacts of addiction and substance use. Her work integrates Indigenous methodologies to promote mental health equity and inclusivity in healthcare, particularly for Māori and LGBTQ+ communities.

Ms Kim is a nurse practitioner for the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network with over 17 years of continuous experience in advanced drug and alcohol nursing roles within JHFMHN. She is also a PhD student at the University of Sydney.

Biography

Caroline is a Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Science Research at UQ. She is a long-time AOD researcher, and epidemiologist, with extensive experience in service design, provision and evaluation. Her interests lie in co-occurring disorders and disadvantage and services intended to support people who experience these.
