Katherine is a Professor, NHMRC Leadership Fellow, and Director of Treatment and Translation at The Matilda Centre. Her work focuses on improving our understanding of the relationship between mental and substance use, evaluating treatment approaches, and improving the translation of research into practice.

Dr Ting Xia is a Senior Research Fellow at the Monash Addiction Research Centre (MARC), where she utilise her training as a public health physician and her advanced statistical analysis skills to leverage real-world data to drive evidence-based health delivery, and to inform policy changes.

Ellen Towers is a final year PhD candidate specialising in neuroimaging and comorbid PTSD and alcohol use disorder.

Olivia Dobson is a Research Officer at the Matilda Centre for Mental Health. With a background in psychology and behavioral science, she has a keen interest in contributing to innovative evidence to advance effective early intervention and prevention for co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

A/Prof Marels research focuses on improving our understanding of, and responses to, mental and substance use disorders in complex populations; and developing innovative, evidence-based resources to support the translation of research into clinical practice. She has received >$11 million in research funding and been presented with a number of awards

Katrin is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and clinical-academic with clinical and leadership experience within the AOD sector. Katrin has a unique blend of clinical social work AOD and mental health expertise, clinical leadership within community settings, health education design and delivery, and qualitative research skills.
