Jen Smith is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Clinical Research in Emergency Medicine, and is the national coordinator and public health co-lead of the Emerging Drugs Network of Australia. This multi-state toxicosurveillance system detects and monitors illicit and emerging drugs causing acute harm in sentinel emergency departments.

Biography

Dr Courtney Weber is the National Data Manager for the Emerging Drugs Network of Australia. Her current research interests include novel psychoactive substances and population-level epidemiology. Her prior research involved epidemiological trends of heart failure and atrial fibrillation in whole-of-population, linked hospitalisation and mortality data.

Rayna is a PhD student in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Her research explores the use of natural substances and natural health products in substance use. Rayna is also a registered pharmacist in New Zealand, currently working in community pharmacy whilst completing her PhD.
