Biography

Dr Clifford is a clinician researcher at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, with an interest in improving treatment options and access to healthcare for people from marginalised groups. He has affiliations with the National Centre for Clinical Research in Emerging Drugs (NCCRED) and the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC).

Professor Myers is the Director of the Curtin enAble Institute, previously from the South African Medical Research Council. Prof. Myers’ research focuses on the development, testing, and implementation of psychological and health system interventions to improve access to, outcomes and quality of care for people who use AODs.

Professor Leanne Hides is the Lives Lived Well Chair in Alcohol, Drugs and Mental Health at the University of Queensland. She is Deputy Director of the National Centre for Youth Substance Use Research. Leanne is a clinical psychologist with almost 25 years of clinical and research experience in addiction.

A FRACGP, FAChAM, Hester is the chair of the RACGP Addiction Special Interest Group. She works for SESLHD Drug and Alcohol Service and in general practice in Sydney. She is currently undertaking a PhD focused on GPs’ experience of patients with chronic pain and prescription opioid use disorder.

Michelle has over 20 years’ experience working in the alcohol and other drug (AOD) sector, housing, domestic and family violence, forensics and child protection.
