Biography

Steven Nigro, PhD, is HIV epidemiologist at Health Protection NSW, NSW Health. He continues to work with academics, community organisations and policymakers that are part of the HIV Prevention Research Implementation Science and Monitoring (PRISM) partnership to ensure outcomes of research are translated into improvements in HIV surveillance in NSW.

Biography

Phillip Keen coordinates the NSW HIV Prevention Research Implementation Science and Monitoring Partnership – (PRISM). This project combines policy makers, surveillance officers, HIV community organisations, clinicians, researchers and others to evaluate interventions to reduce HIV stigma, increase HIV prevention uptake among gay and bisexual men, and monitor the NSW HIV Strategy.

Biography

Cherie Power is currently acting Manager, HIV & STI unit, Centre for Population Health, NSW Ministry of Health. She holds a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of NSW. Cherie was the lead author and project manager for the development of the latest HIV Strategy 2021–2025, encompassing prevention, PrEP, testing, treatment and stigma.

Barbara is passionate about equity in health and improving health outcomes for migrant populations.
