Candi is a sex worker and co-founder of Respect Inc, the Queensland sex workers’ organisation.  She is a member of the Queensland Sexual Health Ministerial Advisory Committee, volunteers on the DecrimQld committee and has participated in the analysis of their recent survey of Queensland sex workers.

Biography

Jules Kim is a Korean/Australian sex worker and the CEO of Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association -the peak national organisation that has been representing sex workers and sex worker organisations, collectives and projects throughout Australia since 1989. She is the Chair for the regional sex worker network, Asia Pacific Network of Sex Workers and was the UNAIDS Program Coordinating Board NGO Delegate for the Asia Pacific from 2019 to 2021. Jules represents sex workers on a number of government and UN committees and advisory mechanisms, has provided testimony and expert advice to parliamentary hearings and inquiries in relation to sex work, migration, trafficking and law reform. She has over 20 years’ experience in sex work, sex worker advocacy, community development and representation.

Biography

Dylan O'Hara (they/them) is a sex worker and Manager of Vixen, Victoria's peer sex worker organisation, based on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Vixen is proudly 100% by and for sex workers, and has led the Victorian campaign for the full decriminalisation of sex work for many years. Vixen is a member of Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association, and NSWP, Global Network of Sex Work Projects.

Biography

Darren is the Director of Sexual Health at Cairns Sexual Health Service and is an Adjunct Professor at James Cook University and Clinical Associate Professor and Melbourne University. He has interests in broad sexual health, Indigenous sexual health, and in the elimination of viral hepatitis and HIV infections. He has worked with sex workers for over 30 years.

Lulu Holiday (she/her) has been a proud sex worker, working the brothels and cheapest hotels of Meanjin for 13 years. She is a member of the DecrimQLD committee and is the State Coordinator for Respect Inc, Queensland's sex worker organisation. Lulu has a background in Midwifery and has always been interested in health, wellbeing, intersectional feminism and sex.
