Biography

Trent is an infectious diseases physician, working at Cairns Hospital and Cairns Sexual Health. He has previously been director of the Queensland Statewide Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, co-Chair of the Queensland Infection Clinical Network, medical advisor to the Commission for Safety and Quality’s AURA project and a director of ASHM.

Biography

Professor Jeffrey D. Klausner is an internationally-recognized researcher in antimicrobial resistance and infectious diseases.  He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Population and Public Health Sciences at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. Professor Klausner is a member of the US Centers for Disease Prevention and Control STI Treatment Guidelines workgroup and member of the WHO STI Treatment Guidelines workgroup.  Professor Klausner has over 600 peer-reviewed publications in infectious diseases with a particular focus on sexually transmitted infections, prevention, disease control, diagnostics and clinical trials.

Anton Peleg is a Professor of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, and Director of the Department of Infectious Diseases at The Alfred Hospital and Monash University, Melbourne. His clinical and research interests are in hospital-acquired infections, AMR and novel solutions, bacterial genomics, mechanisms of pathogenesis and infections in immunocompromised hosts.

Professor Catriona Bradshaw is a clinician researcher and Head of Research Translation and Mentorship and The Genital Microbiota and Mycoplasma Group at Melbourne Sexual Health Centre, Central Clinical School, Monash University and Alfred Hospital. Her programme focuses on translational research to improve treatment & control of Mycoplasma genitalium.

Biography

John Kaldor is a NHMRC Senior Principal Research Fellow and UNSW Scientia Professor. He holds a doctorate in Biostatistics from the University of California. Berkeley, and began his research career at the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France. For over 30 years he has built and led internationally recognised research programs at UNSW on the epidemiology and prevention of infectious diseases.
