Biography

Jeanette is the Community Outreach Nurse with Hepatitis Queensland. She provides support to General Practice and works across initiatives such as the Be Liver Smart project. She has extensive experience across the nursing sector having worked for eight years in community practice after working as a midwife.

Dr Lise Lafferty is a Research Fellow at UNSW Sydney with positions at Centre for Social Research in Health and The Kirby Institute. Her research interests include lived experiences of people living with chronic illnesses (with a focus on people in prison living with HCV) and addressing barriers to care.

Biography

Charles has worked in Australia as Programs Manager / Acting EO at Harm Reduction Victoria and, since 2018, as Deputy CEO at NUAA. In his native New Zealand, he spent more than 15 years improving the health and well-being of, and developing effective peer-led services for, people who inject drugs nationwide. His main passion is harm reduction and dedicates his entire professional career to promoting the lives and human rights of people who use and inject illicit drugs, including the championing of low-barrier, accessible drug treatment options.
