The ASHM Student Scholarship Program is open for applications to Australasian HIV&AIDS joint with the Australasian Sexual and Reproductive Health Conferences to be held Melbourne, Victoria, from 14 - 17 September 2026.
DEADLINE: Applications will close on 11:59pm (AEST) Friday, 31 July 2026.
To be eligible you must:
- Be an ASHM member. SIGN UP HERE
- Students must be based in Victoria
- Must be in their final 2 years of study at university and have an interest in Blood-borne Viruses, STIs and Reproductive Health
- All applicants must provide proof of university enrolment.
- All applicants must provide the name of course they are enrolled in
- Must be studying one of the following areas:
- Medicine
- Nursing
- Midwifery
Scholarship Inclusions:
This a registration only scholarship
- HIV&AIDS Conference Registration Only, OR
- ASRH Conference Registration Only, OR
- Both HIV&AIDS and ASRH (joint) Conference Registration Only.
Terms and Conditions:
All applicants must complete the application form truthfully and advise ASHM if their situation changes. All scholarship holders will be expected to report back from the conference (according to specific guidelines) and provide content for the conference report. The nature of the report back will be negotiated with the recipient and be influenced by location.
You are not eligible for scholarship if you have any of the following:
- Funds from a research grant to cover attendance at this meeting
- Access to professional development funds available through your employer, such as health department and/or university funds
- Funding from a pharmaceutical or other industry partners
- Financial support through a research grant
Please Note: Reimbursements cannot and will not be provided for conference registrations that have been already paid for. ASHM pay for these directly to the supplier on your behalf to fulfil the requirements of the grants.
